What can you read for yourself?
The original paper describes a system for electronic payments without a trusted central party handling each payment. You can read it under Sources below. Its author name is evidence of how the work was published, not proof of who was behind the name.
You do not need to solve the identity question to learn how a payment works. The public rules and payment history matter when you use the system today.
Does creating an idea mean controlling it?
Imagine someone writes a set of rules for a shared notebook. Other people choose software that checks those rules. The person who wrote the first explanation does not thereby gain permission to alter everyone else's copy.
Bitcoin has many participants with different jobs. Developers propose software changes, miners propose blocks and other computers check them. None of those roles is simply the creator acting as an account administrator.
What should you do with identity claims?
Treat an identity claim as a claim unless there is evidence you can assess. A confident story does not establish who wrote the paper. This guide does not guess at a person or group behind the name.
